Sitting 10 hours a day to make a body's cells Aging 8 years Faster

The demands of the work force Office spent most of his time to sit all day. These conditions make metabolic aging age up to 8 years faster.


This was revealed in a study at the University of California in San Diego involving 1,400 women aged 64 years to 95 years. The research was published in the American Journal of Epidemiology.

The research results showed that sitting 10 hours a day, coupled with less physical activity makes the body's cells aging faster. Quoted from news.com.au, those who exercise less than 40 minutes a day experienced the greatest impact.

In the study, the women who spend more time to sit down to have a shorter telomere. A Telomere is a part of DNA (Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid) are often associated with a short lifespan short.
Various previous research associate short telomere with risk of deadly diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. Short telomere can occur due to the influence of lifestyle, such as obesity and lack of exercise.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a sport with medium intensity during 150 minutes each week, or approximately 30 minutes each day. For a lot of sitting, recommended often spend time moving or performing light physical activity such as walking.
